Kevin Belton

For the past two decades, Chef Kevin Belton has been teaching the foundation of Louisiana cooking to appreciative audiences. As an instructor at the New Orleans School of Cooking, Chef Kevin has introduced visitors from around the world to the food and culinary heritage of the region. In a new WYES-TV cooking series Belton, who was recognized in 2017 as one of the top 30 Louisiana chefs by the American Culinary Federation, follow the footsteps of the likes of Chef Paul Prudhomme, John Besh and explore the wide array of cultures that contributed to the distinctive food of New Orleans.  In addition to the 7,000 lessons he has led at the culinary school, Belton has also offered classes and cooking demonstrations throughout the U.S. and Canada. He has been a featured chef and guest on numerous food programs including Emeril Live; Ready Set Cook; Live Love Lunch; Food Fighters; Taste of America, as well as being the resident chef of the WWLTV morning news team.

Belton aspires to pull back the curtain and show viewers that economy and simplicity are hallmarks of New Orleans’ flavorful cuisine.  As a means of encouraging communal dining, Belton’s mission is aimed at getting people to cook and then sit down with their families or friends and share a meal.

Calibe Thompson

Calibe Thompson is an outgoing Jamaican-American entrepreneur with titles including TV producer, director, host, author, columnist and public speaker. She is the Executive Producer of nationally aired Caribbean culinary and travel TV show “Taste the Islands”. Through her company Blondie Ras Productions, she manages the development of “Taste the Islands”, as well as “Island Origins”, a television lifestyle magazine featuring Caribbean community notables, which she also hosts. In 2015, she became the first Jamaican Executive Producer to secure series placement on US national public television. Her show “Taste the Islands” was the first Caribbean culinary series that the network giants PBS and Create TV had aired nationally. Her programs have been aired in over 40 American states, over 20 Caribbean countries, Canada, the United Kingdom and Brunei. The holder of a BA in Architecture from the University of Technology, Thompson’s ongoing mission is to build brands, and to create high quality Caribbean-inspired media for a sophisticated, mainstream audience.

Martin Amado

Martin is a TV personality, interior decorator, lifestyle expert, and contributing writer on the subject of home décor. He can be seen as host/designer on So Flo Home Project airing Saturdays at 11 am on WPLG Local 10, an ABC affiliate in Miami, FL. Prior to that, South Florida viewers became familiar with his work on the home makeover segment Room for Improvement that aired on WSVN 7 News, FOX affiliate, for over 11 years.  In addition to his work in the general market, Martin has been featured on numerous Spanish-language media platforms airing nationally in the United States and throughout Latin America.

He is currently host of branded content on the ION@Home segments seen on ION Television and is a home décor contributor to Un Nuevo Día, Telemundo’s national morning program.
