SET IN STONE
The Heritage Village is the area directly at the front entrance of the library/cultural center. It consists of 3 major zones paying tribute to the African and African-American fore-parents that made it possible for people of African origins to settle and prosper in the new world. These areas are the Heritage Wall, the Heritage Landing, and the Heritage Grove.
& Bronze Plaque
The Heritage Landing is an area including the steps at the main entrance. A permanent pedestal exists there now. A bronze plaque containing a concise narrative and images telling the story of how AARLCC came into existence beginning at the office of Dr. Von D. Mizell will be placed on the crown of the pedestal.
The donor’s name will be displayed on a bronze plaque placed at the base of the pedestal.
